I bought a lie, it wasn't cheap
In fact the price was very steep
It cost me peace, it cost joy
The love inside it tried to destroy.
I bought a lie, a false belief
It clouds the mind, and brings much grief
The lie that life begins and ends
And in between we play pretend
Life isn't something I live every day
Or an event that happens along the way
Life isn't something that I have
Making guesses through which I nav
Life is the way and its so much more
The truth is at it's very core
What we think, is just a sham
